Remembering and honoring those who suffered and perished in the Holocaust is profoundly important. Their lives, though brutally cut short, stand as a testament to the imperative to combat hatred, bigotry, and injustice in all its forms. By keeping their memories alive, we cultivate empathy, compassion, and a shared commitment to upholding the fundamental dignity of every human being.
My goal is to honor these lost lives; to give back something that was stolen, and remind the world that these young people once lived and loved, and had stories to tell. Through imagining what might have been, I hope to bring their memory to life; to ignite compassion, creating a collective call for social change. The paintings aim to both urge the viewer to confront the past and also to stand against all forms of intolerance.
